Scott Cook
Electronic Press Kit
Indie rock singer-songwriter, jazz-tinged, based in Montreal, Canada
“Beyond the perceptible Bowie reminiscences, the flair in the guitar flourishes and the panoramic orchestration of the heart-warmingly morose singles bring Scott Cook into a league of his own.”
— Amelia Vandergast, A&R Factory
Biography
I'm an indie rock singer-songwriter based in Montreal, Canada, who has a jazz-tinged sense of harmony and who works to amalgamate all of the musical bits and pieces I've grown up listening to.
My lyrics are a casual commentary on the world that presently surrounds me. The songs that I write are for today; they are my now. My goal when writing them is simplicity, honesty and getting to the point of whatever the mood & matter may be at that moment in time. However, once the song is complete, I like to remember the circumstance that brought it to me and to let it serve as a reflection of who I am as a person, and who I’ve become as a both a musician & and a songwriter.
I want my songs to give me something to think about and, in turn, to give others something to think about, too.
Guy Fawkes Day, 1947, was released on vinyl on May 29th, 2026.
